It sounds like an anal abscess or thromboses hemorrhoid or perchance even a fistula. Take 2/3 hot baths a day more or less 20 minutes each. Take some Advil or Motrin for strain. and get to your Dr. for a diagnosis. A fistula could take home a tunnel where feces can exit the body somewhere save for the rectum.

it might be a boil which you will have to walk get drained by a doctor. not sure of what cause them. my cousin had one and he scream like a schoolgirl when he get it drained.
My guess would be either a hemorrhoid or a peri-rectal abscess or fistula-in-ano.
If you own a fever, progress to an urgent care center or ER, otherwise see a doctor after the holiday.
Try a affliction killer similar to Tylenol and soak in hot hose down, about 100 degree F. in the meantime. If it is an abscess, it will probably enjoy to be drained. Hemorrhoids often shrink over time, but not other to the point that they are not bothersome.
