my dad be in for around 31/2 hours depends on your surgeon and he be in hospital for 6 days but it can be upto 8 days.

Depends to some extent on why you are have it removed and also on the surgeon, but it will be at least a couple of hours.
It depends on whether it is a total nephrectomy (whole kidney comes out) or a partial nephrectomy (only a constituent comes out), and whether it is being done "open" (big scar) or laparoscopically (tiny scar, camera assisted).
An open total nephrectomy can help yourself to as little as 90 minutes, a laparoscopic partial nephrectomy can take as much as 4h.
Depend on your robustness and operations if it is excelllent after you may rest more then 1 week fully rest becoz i most historic part is removed and doc. must check you for some time and itz mostly common.

When I have my transplant it took approximately 4 hours to put the kidney in, removal is far quicker. Hope everything go well for you, clutch care. x
I hear it take about 3 hours, at most minuscule for those who are donating their healthy kidney. Depending on why it's one removed, your surgery will vary.
